Weijing 3D customized an efficient, accurate and full-process intelligent inspection solution for two core components of Xiaomi YU7: the die-cast rear floor and battery tray.

These two key parts pose stringent inspection challenges. Adopting the CTB structure, the battery tray has measurement bottlenecks such as threaded holes and other complex features. The integrated die-cast rear floor uses a brand-new integrated die-casting process, which is greatly affected by process fluctuations, reflective machined holes and fast production line takt time, making it difficult for traditional inspection methods to balance efficiency and precision. Both components share three major pain points: difficult inspection of complex surfaces and intricate features, poor adaptability to production line takt time, and strong interferences including temperature, vibration and ambient light during inline measurement.

It achieves accurate multi-view data registration via feature matching and point cloud alignment algorithms, and generates high-precision point clouds rapidly with ICP optimization and global constraint algorithms.
